Historical records from as early as 1714 suggest that many West Africans were descendants of ancient Israelites—some fleeing Roman destruction, others escaping European expulsions. Their traditions and worship of Yahweh predate Christianity in the region, pointing to deep Hebraic roots. Far from being spiritually lost, many African tribes preserved elements of Biblical faith, challenging the mainstream narrative of their identity and history.
