🚨 The Great Deception: "The Law is Done Away With"

One of the most dangerous and widespread lies being preached today is that “the law is done away with.” This false doctrine is rooted in a misunderstanding of Paul’s writings and a rejection of the eternal, righteous standard that the Most High established from the beginning. The Scriptures make it clear: the law still stands, and keeping it is essential for those who love and obey the Most High.

💡 The Law Reveals Truth and Sin

Romans 3:20 makes it clear:

“By the law is the knowledge of sin.”Without the law, there is no understanding of what sin is. To do away with the law is to do away with the very definition of sin.

Paul reaffirms this in Romans 7:7:

“I had not known sin, but by the law.”

So how can anyone claim to be righteous, or even forgiven, if they don’t know what sin is—or worse, reject the standard that defines it?

❤️ Keeping the Commandments = Loving God

Yahusha HaMashiach (Jesus Christ) said:

“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me...” —John 14:21

Likewise, 1 John 5:3 says:

“For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.”

Those who say they love God yet break His commandments deceive themselves and others. You cannot love God while trampling on His laws.

🤥 “Under Grace” Does Not Mean “Lawless”

Romans 6:14-15 is often abused by those pushing antinomianism (lawlessness):

“For ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.”

Grace is not a license to sin. It is the opportunity to repent and be reconciled to the Father, not a free pass to continue in rebellion. Paul says again:

“Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid.” —Romans 6:1-2

👑 Messiah Fulfilled, Not Abolished

Yahusha said it plainly in Matthew 5:17:

“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.”

And He continues:

“Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” —Matthew 5:18

He did not erase the law. He fulfilled the prophecies concerning the Messiah, and taught perfect obedience to the law.

🥴 Your Prayers Are Powerless Without the Law

Proverbs 28:9 gives a chilling warning:

“He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.”

Even Yahusha’s own words confirm this truth:

“God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.” —John 9:31

🔥 The Law Is for the Lawless

1 Timothy 1:8-10 tells us:

“The law is good, if a man use it lawfully... [it’s] for the lawless... ungodly... sinners... murderers... liars...”

If you fall into any of those categories—and all of us once did—the law was written for you, to teach you what is wrong and to lead you to repentance.

🧠 Wisdom Keeps the Law

Ecclesiasticus 34:8 (KJV Apocrypha):

“The law shall be found perfect without lies: and wisdom is perfection to a faithful mouth.”

Also, Ecclesiastes 12:13 wraps it up beautifully:

“Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.”

🙏🏿 Faith Without Obedience Is Dead

James 2:19:

“Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.”

Even demons believe—but they don’t obey. Obedience is what separates the righteous from the wicked.

🏆 Blessed Are the Commandment Keepers

“Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life…” —Revelation 22:14

Those who reject the law will be shut out of the Kingdom. But those who keep it and teach others to do so? They will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 5:19).

📣 Choose This Day Whom You Will Serve

Just like Elijah said in 1 Kings 18:21:

“If the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him.”

Following the Most High means obedience to His commandments. Anything else is idolatry and rebellion.

🔚 Final Words

Sin is the transgression of the law (1 John 3:4).So if the law is “done away with,” then sin is done away with—and we know that’s a lie. The world is full of sin, because it is full of lawlessness.

The law was never abolished. It is eternal truth (Psalm 119:142), it is spiritual (Romans 7:14), and it is holy, just, and good (Romans 7:12). If you love the Most High, keep His commandments.
